“The One Who’s Always There”-The unnoticed
I walk in rooms with smiling grace,
Yet feel like I don’t take up space.
They laugh, they speak, they pass me by —
A ghost beneath the open sky.
I ask, “How are you?” — I always care,
They talk, I nod, I'm always there.
But when my silence fills the air,
No soul turns 'round. No one is aware.
I text first, keep memories tight,
Remember birthdays, calm a fight.
But when I ache, when I can’t cope,
My inbox stays a quiet slope.
I'm “strong,” they say — that word so sharp,
A silent badge, a quiet scar.
No one sees the war I hide,
Behind a smile, the tears I dried.
I don’t need crowds or empty praise,
Or people watching all my days.
I just want hearts that truly see —
The soul I am, the real me.
Not the one who holds things in,
But one who also breaks within.
Not the friend who’s “always fine,”
But someone craving just one sign.
I want to matter, not be loud,
To stand and not get lost in crowd.
To be the thought in someone’s mind,
A gentle “Hey,” a word that’s kind.
So here’s to all who feel this ache,
Who give so much, yet still feel fake.
You’re not too much, you’re not too less —
You're just unseen in your own mess.
But don’t you dim your lovely soul,
You still are light, you still are whole.
One day, someone will truly know —
The quiet fire in you that glows.
