“The Indian Army: Strength, Sacrifice, Service of the Nation”

 We casually used to say I had a loud sleep last night and we also go every place without any restrictions and go whenever we wish for, without any hustles and fear..!!

Did we ever think how are we able to enjoy the crisp of the freedom we possess? We never did and never will.. All the moments we enjoy the current second is a blessing from the people from the border, fighting for us and literally dying for us just to let us lead a happy and peaceful life..

THE INDIAN ARMY- The STRENGTH of our nation, of course it’s the best statement to give. They never leave us in half way , they struggle till the very end to protect us from the danger…Its just like a mother protecting her own child under a veil…They make us feel safe and secured so that we can follow the routine and chores…They let us enjoy our own lives when they struggle to meet their daily needs..

The SACRIFICE they made….A mother sends her own son/daughter to the battlefield knowing all the upcoming consequences without a hesitation…The sacrifice they make is just unimaginable for us ..They’ll not be able to meet their parents, spouse , children , siblings, friends- whenever they want to. Only people who are close to them will understand the pain and hardships they are undergoing. Their family and friends cannot really have a happy life as they’ll never how the next moment of the army people will be…

When we people cry for small wounds and cuts…They’ll have deep scars, deep cuts , sometimes that might end up in losing a part of the body and what not…Not only that we people have a normal life…we can go to beaches , cinemas, malls, attend functions…But they people are not like that…They cannot live a normal life…Whenever they return to a holiday there comes the ache of leaving the family behind again and just longing to spend some more quality time with them…They cannot even have a peaceful phone conversation with their family as they might be tower issues many a times…we people here work and earn while they work for a poor salary that might even cost death….

The SERVICE of the nation- When a citizen decides to work in an army…They’ll mentally and physically prepare themselves for the upcoming…They consider it as their duty to save their nation and protect them to the core. We should really be grateful for their support and sacrifices…

I once read a poem from the point of view of a flower that states-

I don’t wish to lie on a great celebrity’s hair as a decoration;

I don’t wish to be a garland for a political leader;

I don’t wish to be under the feet of the deities and statues of a god;

I only wish to lie on the road where the army people walk on me and that’ll be my pride…!!!

Though it’s a fantasy of a flower, that’s how we should respect and treat army people in our lives. Without them we are nothing in our lives and I personally feel that government should take steps to increase the army people ‘s salary and assurance of their family members. Let’s not just cry on movies and show our due respect for the people.
